What is Google Workplace for Education Plus?

Google Workspace for Education Plus is a comprehensive, paid edition of Google's suite of communication and collaboration tools specifically designed for educational institutions. It builds upon the features of the free Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals and the paid Education Standard editions, offering a wider range of advanced security, management, and teaching and learning tools.

1. Advanced Security and Insights:

  • Proactive Threat Protection: Includes tools to prevent, detect, and remediate cyber threats like phishing and malware. It can automatically scan email attachments in a virtual security sandbox.

  • Centralized Controls: Offers a unified admin console with enhanced controls, including the Security Investigation Tool to identify and address security and privacy threats.

  • Data Protection and Analytics: Provides advanced data loss prevention (DLP) for Gmail, Drive, and Chat, and allows for exporting log event data for deeper analysis with tools like BigQuery.

  • Data Regions: Gives institutions the ability to choose a geographic location for their data.

2. Enhanced Teaching and Learning Tools:

  • Google Meet: Extends the functionality of Google Meet with features such as:

    • Breakout rooms

    • Polls and Q&A

Licensing

Education Plus is a paid subscription that is typically licensed on a per-user basis. It often involves a "full domain licensing" model, where the institution purchases licenses for a certain number of users, and it is up to the administrators to assign those licenses to the users who need the advanced features, such as instructional staff, admins, and other key personnel.

Regardless of condition, all devices sold by Tech to School come with our 1 year warranty and are eligible for Warranty+ accidental coverage up to 4 years.


The majority of our Chromebooks and PCs are brand New units that are still factory sealed. We also offer Factory Refurbished devices direct from manufactures which appear brand new.


The majority of our Apple devices are considered First Stock. This is our highest cosmetic grade. There will be only minor signs of use with no major scratches or dents.


On some devices, we offer a Second Stock option at a discounted price. These devices are 100% functional, yet may have cosmetic issues such as bent corners, surface case scratches or engravings. We include a free shell case on these devices to present a clean look.
